I just recieved the new LIS lunch box that came out a little while back from Fab Gear USA. Very nice LIS collectable. I like the graphics and colors and is a nice addition to my LIS collection. Definately worth the $16.95 price tag. Fab Gear is a great company to deal with and has a great assortment of Sci-Fi collectables. 'Fame,' 'Waltons,' 'Bonanza' among his credits

Harry Harris, the Emmy-winning television director whose expansive credits include episodes of "Fame," "7th Heaven" and "Bonanza," has died. He was 86.Harris died at his Los Angeles home on Thursday of complications due to the blood disorder myelodysplasia, said his stepson Michael Daruty, NBC Universal's senior vp technical operations."He had longevity in this business. He worked until he was 85. He directed through 2007, when he was directing '7th Heaven.' 'No' was not an answer for Harry," Daruty said Tuesday.Harris won an Emmy in 1982 for directing an episode of the drama series "Fame." He was nominated for the directing award in 1974 for an episode of "The Waltons."Born in Kansas City in 1922, Harris moved to Los Angeles in 1937 and began his Hollywood career in the mailroom at Columbia Studios, then worked his way up to sound effects, said Daruty.After enlisting in the U.S. Army during World War II, Harris was singled out by the military because of his film background and was hired by Ronald Reagan at Culver City's Hal Roach Studios as a sound effects editor on combat and training films, Daruty said.After the Army, Harris went back to Columbia, and then left to eventually become an editor at Desi Arnaz's Desilu Prods. Arnaz gave Harris his first directing gig with the TV series "The Texan," starring Rory Calhoun.Harris went on to direct hundreds of TV episodes, from Steve McQueen in the western series "Wanted -- Dead or Alive" to "Rawhide," "Gunsmoke," "Lost in Space," "Hawaii Five-O" and "Falcon's Crest."Harris is survived by his wife Patty, his daughters Joanne and Suzanne, and Daruty, Patty's son from a previous marriage.

I can't believe January 09 is in the history books already. Lets see, we have a new president, the US economy is not the greatest, and the weather has been freezing here in NY. Very depressing but that's what Winter is about. But there is light at the end of tunnel! Spring is a month and a half away!

Like the Winter blues this past month we all lost a great friend, and Sci-Fi Legend Bob May. This was/is devastating news, I still can't believe Bob is gone. Bob had a rough past two years health wise but always had a great attitude and was up beat. I am going to really miss him and still can't believe he is gone. If anyone has any Condolences or Well Wishes for the May Family please sign the LIS Memories guest book and I will make sure they get them.

Today February 1st is Bill Mumy's birthday!!!! Happy birthday Bill. Bill is a great friend and I will never forget all the kindness he has showed me and my family through the years. Make sure to watch a Will Robinson LIS episode today.

I had a chance to talk with the keeper of the LIS flame last week and good Friend and LIS Memories contributor Kevin Burns. Kevin is doing well and is very busy working on the Girls Next Door along with countless specials on the Travel Channel and also some LIS related stuff that we may be able to talk about shortly. Lets just say there may be hope so keep your fingers and toes crossed. I asked Kevin about Fox remastering LIS on DVD. No plans yet, but maybe LIS on Blu Ray in the future???? Some cool LIS products on the horizon. A very cool LIS Lunchbox slated for an April release but a company called Diamond Toy Chest. The L B looks beautiful. Also Kevin mentioned that Morbius is interested in putting out a J2 with the already released Chariot and Space Pod. No date set yet, but will post a release date if any when I get one.

A Bob May tribute
Bob May passed away this morning at his home. Bob was 69. Bob was a great freind of not only myself but my family. I have many found memories of Bob but the one that sticks out the most is the time he was in town for a Chiller Convention and came by my house for a Halloween party we were having. After the party ended Bob took my kids Trick or Treating all through the neighborhood and had a great time with them. I never forgot that and if any memory I have of Bob that one is my fondess. The last few years were tough for Bob but he always kept a positive attitude on everything. Bob was a one of a kind person with a big heart who always put his fans first as many of you can attest to at the various conventions he appeared at. When I started the LIS Memories website it was Bob who came up with the name LIS Memories. Bob was a tireless worker who gave the Robot life, and Bob's legecy will live on forever. Rest in Peace Bob, I will never forget you.

Hey Ray!

Could you post this for me.

My book won't be ready for the Ray Courts show. I tried to get it ready but just couldn't swing it. I got the the proofs and the cover is senstional. I have some corrections to make on the interior and when that is done they have ten days from that date to get it to me. It looks like the 15th of October.

I want all the Lost in Space fans to know that if thet come to Ray Court's show, I will take orders and send them signed copies to their address. I will pick up the handling charges. Also, if they order a signed book, I will give the first fifty people a signed colored picture of me that is featured on the cover for a reduced price.

I had a nice conversation with Mark tonight. I have been getting many emails regarding Mark's upcoming book and here is a little teaser. The title of the book is going to be To Space and Back and will be released end of September, early October just in time for the Fall convention season. Mark will have these books at conventions where they can be purchased. I am sure everyone is going to enjoy it. Many, many stories and photos. Moebius Chariot and Space Pod got em!!!!

I just picked up the new Moebius models Chariot and Space Pod today from my favorite hobby shop in the World Amok Time in Long Island NY. This store is pretty incredible and has anything you could want collectable wise. If you live in the Tri State area take a gander over to Amok as you will be amazed at what they have.

First off the box art work for these two kits are incredible especially for the Chariot. The box for the Space Pod is a lot smaller then what it looks like in photos and I was suprised at how small it really is. The parts themselves are a nice size, instructions are pretty easy to follow and it should be easy to construct these kits. However, for myself I don't think I will have the time to asemble these so they will be remaining in their boxes.

If anyone has these two kits built up and would like to email me their photos I would be more then happy to display them at my LIS Memories website in our model section.

BTW, I have updated the LIS Memories website with another update today in case anyone wants to check it out.
